Warranty Policy
Manufacturer warranties and AFS’s role
Most products we sell carry the manufacturer’s warranty, and that warranty is the primary remedy for a defective or non-conforming product. The specific terms—what is covered, for how long, and how a defect is remedied—are set by each manufacturer and are not created or extended by AFS Wholesale.
AFS Wholesale acts as a facilitator: we help you identify the responsible manufacturer, gather the information needed to open a claim, and route your request so it can be evaluated under the applicable warranty. Where a manufacturer authorizes us to assist with repair, replacement, or return handling, we will coordinate that process with you.
How to start a warranty claim
To begin a warranty claim, contact us as soon as you notice an issue. You can open a request through our support request page or email sales@afswholesaleshop.com. Tell us that you are reporting a possible warranty issue so we can route it correctly.
After we receive your request, we will confirm the applicable warranty path, let you know whether the claim is handled directly by AFS Wholesale or by the manufacturer, and share any forms, return authorization, or shipping instructions that apply.
Information we need
Providing complete details up front helps the manufacturer evaluate your claim quickly. Please include, where available:
- Order reference — the order or purchase-order number and the approximate purchase date.
- Product identifiers — the SKU or item number and product name.
- Serial or lot number — any serial, batch, or lot markings on the product or its packaging.
- Description of the issue — what is wrong, when it started, and how the product was being used, along with photos or video if the defect is visible.
What is typically excluded
Warranty coverage is defined by each manufacturer, but claims are commonly excluded when the issue results from something other than a manufacturing defect. Exclusions generally include:
- Normal wear and tear — expected aging, cosmetic marks, and gradual deterioration from ordinary use.
- Misuse or improper handling — damage from accident, neglect, incorrect installation, unsuitable operating conditions, or use outside the product’s intended purpose.
- Consumables and wear parts — items designed to be used up or replaced periodically.
- Altered or modified products — items that have been repaired, modified, or serviced by an unauthorized party, or whose serial or identifying marks have been removed.
These are general examples. The controlling exclusions are those stated in the applicable manufacturer warranty.
Specific terms are set by the manufacturer
Warranty duration, coverage, and remedies vary by product and manufacturer. The specific terms that apply to your product are those provided by the manufacturer and stated in the product documentation, packaging, or manufacturer materials where available. AFS Wholesale does not set or guarantee these durations or coverage levels. If you are unsure which warranty applies to a product, contact us and we will help you locate the relevant terms.
AFS Wholesale disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and except as provided by an applicable manufacturer warranty, products are provided “as is” without additional warranties from AFS Wholesale, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in this policy limits or removes any manufacturer warranty or any rights you may have that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
How warranty relates to returns
Warranty claims and returns are handled differently. A warranty claim addresses a defect or failure covered by the manufacturer’s warranty and may result in repair, replacement, or another remedy the manufacturer provides. A return is governed by our Return Policy and covers matters such as eligibility windows, condition requirements, and restocking. Some situations may qualify under both; if you are not sure which applies, contact us and we will help you choose the correct path so your issue is handled once and correctly.
